How do I add accessories to my pledge?
Select your reward, but before hitting the PLEDGE button, manually add the amounts for accessories you want. The amount for each accessory is listed on your pledged reward.
See the ‘How to pledge’ section of the campaign for an infographic with examples.
If you forgot to add the accessories you may modify your pledge to reflect the additions. You may also add as many base units and accessories as you like, your selections will be confirmed with a post campaign survey.
You’ll also get a chance to select accessories after the campaign before we ship product.

When will I receive my rewards?
We will ship all rewards (except the limited edition black model) in February 2021. Actual delivery date may be up to 4 weeks later depending on your territory.
Black models will ship in March.

Think of whipr as a platform for ERG activities. We’ve focused heavily on paddle, ski and row modalities but whipr is capable of a lot more. Check the page and out updates for a list of modalities current and in development.

What are the resistance levels?
There are currently 10 levels of adjustment that cater for paddling all the way up to rowing. Since you’re way stronger in the rowing position vs the paddling position we’ve had to be careful about how much resistance we created.
We’ll be fine tuning the final production model so it’s perfect but suffice to say at its weakest it will feel similar to a full sized rower on its lowest setting, at its highest it will feel like a full sized rower at its mid to upper level of resistance.

How is shipping calculated?
This kickstarter is for product only. All shipping, VAT, customs and local taxes etc will be charged separately prior to fulfillment. We’re partnered with a global logistics company who have done this many times before and are excellent at getting the best rates available and keeping prices down for backers.
For example, where possible we’ll ship in bulk by sea to regional distribution centers after which your individual packages will get to you buy air, rail and road. One import charge will be paid and distributed across all regional pledges making it much more cost effective then importing individually.
At the very bottom of the campaign you’ll see a table with sample shipping rates. These have been professionally prepared and factor in one full whipr set with the base unit and all accessories. Since there are so many potential variations of what you’ll select for your rewards, and shipping prices vary over time, it’s impossible to accurately quote exactly what it will be for you today. The table is however an indication of what you will be charged when we get to shipping.

Is there a warranty?
As a company we’re here to stay and will support our products after sale. Whipr is being built with commercial grade parts and is designed to stand up to the pressures of commercial use, we intend for it to be a part of your fitness lifestyle for a long time.
As part of that commitment we have a 12 month manufacturers warranty against defect. We will cover all personal use and anticipate that you will use it daily.

Can I row a marathon with whipr? Will it hold up to 4hrs+ use?
The specific use case that we’re testing durability against is 2 hrs per day, 700-800 hrs per year at an average of a 2:30 pace. We’re quite comfortable that the base unit will hold up and perform under these conditions. Since heat generation is stable after the first 10 mins or so there’s no reason why you couldn’t row a marathon.
More to the point though is the suitability of the choice in platform, right tool for the job and all. While whipr will technically do what you’re asking, if you’re asking this question you’re probably a pro/competitive rower on some level, or perhaps you’re banging out 1:45 splits for Crossfit training. At that super high level of performance you’ll know that we start talking about optimizing the minute details: shoe rubber and bend (or no shoes), blade weight and angle etc. If you’re at the level where a micrometer comes out when judging your gear you’ll be best served for the epic rows by a dedicated rower like the Concept2 and using whipr for home/travel training.
No judgement at all, we’re complete gear geeks too, whipr is an excellent ERG machine and very competent rower just want to set expectations appropriately.

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
